Đức Nguyễn | Our Inspiration
Đức is our grandfather’s first name and the namesake of our Foundation. His life and values inspire our mission to create opportunities through education and compassion.
Rooted in Vietnamese tradition, Đức represents moral virtue and the belief that good deeds create lasting blessings—để đức cho con cháu—for generations to come. Our logo reflects this legacy, with a soft heart emerging from the dấu sắc, symbolizing compassion in action, and a cross within the D representing Đức Tin—faith, trust, and belief in a better future.
Together, they express a simple truth:
When virtue is guided by faith, and compassion is put into action, lasting change follows.
Đức là tên gọi của ông ngoại chúng tôi và cũng là tên của Quỹ. Cuộc đời và những giá trị ông để lại đã truyền cảm hứng cho sứ mệnh của chúng tôi trong việc tạo dựng cơ hội thông qua giáo dục và lòng nhân ái.
Bắt nguồn từ truyền thống Việt Nam, Đức đại diện cho phẩm hạnh đạo đức và niềm tin rằng những việc làm tốt đẹp sẽ tạo nên phúc lành lâu dài—để đức cho con cháu—qua nhiều thế hệ. Logo của chúng tôi phản ánh di sản ấy, với hình trái tim mềm mại được hình thành từ dấu sắc, tượng trưng cho lòng nhân ái được thể hiện bằng hành động, và hình thánh giá trong chữ D đại diện cho Đức Tin—niềm tin, sự tín nhiệm và niềm hy vọng vào một tương lai tốt đẹp hơn.

Our Roots | Where It All Began
When we see a need, we act. Long before Đức Foundation existed, Grandma Neo’s PHỞ-Raisers brought our community together to help one another.
Our family hosted a restaurant-style pop-up dining experience, serving our grandma’s famous, made-from-scratch, phở, also known as Vietnamese beef noodle soup to raise funds for our public high school.
Our Current | Youth-Led Initiatives
English Mentorship & Cultural Exchange Program
This program connects college students in Vietnam with English mentors in the United States to build language skills, confidence, and cultural understanding. American mentors participate in a cultural immersion experience, traveling to Vietnam for a service-based mission project.
Đức Scholars Program
The Đức Scholars Program supports motivated students from rural villages in Vietnam with college scholarships, mentorship, and guidance—lifting financial burdens and empowering young people to dream bigger, lead with purpose, and build a future filled with possibility.

My brother and I worked and took out a loan just to stay in school. This scholarship lets me focus on studying, and I hope to give back as a donor one day.

Our Impact
2026 Tết in Tân An
To celebrate Tết 2026, our Đức Foundation Scholars will bring joy to 700 children in the rural village of Tân An Vietnam through the gift of candy bags and lì xì envelopes. These small gifts carry wishes of luck, hope, and a joyful new year, reminding each child that they are seen, valued, and celebrated.
Severson Leadership Scholarship Fund
In partnership with the Highline Foundation, we support graduating seniors from Evergreen High School, our mom’s alma mater, opening doors for students from public housing communities.
The Neo Mask Project
During COVID-19, our grandmother spent nine months sewing masks. Together, we raised $33,000 to support food banks and nonprofits when our community needed it most.
Nguyễn Junior Am Golf Tournaments
From 2020–2025, our charity golf tournaments raised over $120,000 to fund education, housing, youth sports, and opportunity across the Seattle region.
